  • Q. How old should you be for a face lift?

    A. Age itself isn't as important as "how" you've aged. Younger individuals (around 35-45 years of age) can maintain a youthful appearance with a face lift. These patients often have minimal work done, but because the skin and tissue still maintain elasticity the results appear to be more lasting due to these favorable characteristics of younger skin. Older patients with more noted skin sagging and laxity generally wish to achieve more dramatic results, and the face lift can reverse the appearance by 10-15 years. No matter what age, if you choose a face lift, Dr. Schmid tailors the face lift to your individual goals and needs.
